Our mission is to provide encouragement and enrichment to the children of parents incarcerated in either the jail or the prison system. These children are truly the unwilling victims of crime.
Right now there are over 1.5 million children in the United States that have one or both parents incarcerated. While that is a very large number, let’s get closer to home. There were 1,500 Tennessee children in 2009 that were unassigned to a local church to minister to their needs. Approximately one-third of those children were in the Nashville area. Now these are just not children chosen at random, these are specific children that were signed up to participate in the Angel Tree program sponsored by Prison Fellowship Ministries. Prison Fellowship Ministries works with those incarcerated in state or federal prisons to establish a relationship with Jesus Christ and sign-up their children for ongoing ministry efforts.
We are looking for are churches, other non-profit organizations and individuals that want to get involved in the lives of these children and their caregivers.
We are truly partners to assist these churches, other non-profit organizations and individuals provide support for these children. We can provide a supporting extension of the ministry to these children and their caregivers with fund raising programs and working knowledge on how to maximize your supporting network.
